수학 용어 (Math terms)

학교 수학공부와 SAT 수학을 공부하며 몰랐던 수학 용어를 여기에 정리하며 공부하려 한다. 앞으로 공부양이 늘어나며 계속 수정, 보완을 해나가지 싶다.

asymptote: 점근선

coefficient: 계수

congruence: 합동

coordinate: 좌표

cusp: (두 곡선이 만나는 뾰족한) 끝

denominator: 분모

fraction: 분수

integer: 정수

intercept: 절편

numerator: 분자

perimeter: 둘레

product: 곱

standard deviation: 표준 편차

To calculate the standard deviation of those numbers:

1. Work out the Mean (the simple average of the numbers)
2. Then for each number: subtract the Mean and square the result.
3. Then work out the mean of those squared differences.
4. Take the square root of that and we are done!
