Would you step into 'The Room'?

Q. Would you step into ‘The Room’?

A. When I step into 'The Room', I will achieve my heart's desire, my dream will come true, and I will get exactly what I want.

Then I think most people will step into the room because many people want to achieve their dream. But the point is some people may not even know what they want. Also, what they deeply want may differ from what they think they want. These are the reasons why the professor and writer hesitate to step into the room.

So I am asking these two questions to myself to answer the question.

First, do I know what I want? Yes, I do believe I know what I want. I want to be FIRE (Financially Independent and Retire Early) to do what I love: chess, art, and investing without worrying about money and time.

But I won't be happy if 'The Room' simply just gives me a million dollars. It won't be that joyful just like using cheating in a video game. It might be fun at first but such pleasure can't last long. Instead, I hope 'The Room' helps to achieve FIRE by myself because I know the joy comes from the process. I know getting closer to my dream step by step by myself is one of genuine happiness.

So I'll be glad if 'The Room' tells me am I on the right path to achieve my dream or not and give me some advice to achieve it. And I think it will because that's my true desire I can come up with.

Second, what if my deep want is different from what I think? Well even in the worst case, when my genuine desire that room shows me is different from my expectation, I'm sure that my innermost longings won't hurt me and it can still help me to know myself at least.

So whatever going to happen when I step into the room will be beneficial for me. So yes. I would step into 'The Room.'
